And every single instrument is stringently test-played and inspected by an expert. Launched out over two decades ago, the YSL-354 model has been upgraded several times to become the best by far straight Bb small bore trombone from its price category. It sports many of the professional features found on much more expensive models while maintaining a very reasonable price tag.

The YSL-354 is the legacy of revered trombones that eventually have become legends. Its 12.7mm (0.500’’) bore is typical of the small American standard tenor trombone, delivering a tight, bright and lavish sound appealing to jazz section leaders to perform solos. This free-blowing trombone is also perfectly suited to beginners.

Its lightweight 204.4mm (8’’) bell is made of brass, while nickel-silver is used for the main tuning slide for durability. The semi-lightweight accurate slide features nickel-silver outer tubing as well with a chrome-plated inner section.

As all Yamaha products, this trombone sports a spotless finish. Such a smooth and swift slide, and such a perfectly well adjusted tuning slide are very seldom found on  an instrument in this price range.
