For many enthusiasts, C.F. Martin & Co. has been creating the most beautiful guitars in the world for over 180 years. The company has innovated by using manufacturing techniques and features that have become standards, including the X-bracing, the fourteenth fret body/ neck joint and the Dreadnought format. Faithful to the founder's approach, the company continues to employ artisanal processes and a highly skilled workforce. Today, more contemporary designs and approach allow Martin to maintain its reputation as the world leader in professional acoustic guitar making, without sacrificing its core models and legendary quality.

Featuring a design reminiscent of the iconic pre-war Martins and a modern neck, the OM-28 embodies the perfect blend of sound tradition, aesthetic appeal, and contemporary convenience. The Sitka spruce top is aged and finished with a glossy varnish, framed by herringbone binding and reinforced by scalloped bracing measuring 63 mm in thickness. The Indian rosewood body is coated in a matching varnish, accented by Ivorette trim for a polished look.

The slim, oval-shaped neck, inherited from the Performing Artist series, ensures exceptional comfort with a taper ranging from 44.5 mm at the nut to 55.6 mm at the bridge. The vintage vibe is enhanced by the distinctive Grover open-gear tuners with bean-shaped buttons and a rosewood headplate adorned with the retro decal of the Martin & Co. logo. Setting itself apart from the 000, the OM boasts a slightly longer scale length (645 mm versus 634 mm), enhancing its dynamic range, and features a tear-shaped pickguard, a characteristic of the 1930s.
