Founded in 1890 in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA, Squier was acquired in 1965 by Fender, which makes it the brand under which it offers more affordable versions, produced in Asia, of its guitar models, and includes the production of amps to the range. These are currently instruments of good quality, which are for beginners and those looking for a backup for their setup, or wish to address new types of sounds without a financial commitment too important.
The Squier Strat Mini is a 3/4-size electric guitar designed for kids, beginners, or anyone looking for a compact, easy-to-play instrument. Inspired by the iconic Fender Stratocaster, it features the same classic look in a more manageable format, with a bright red gloss finish and excellent ergonomics for small hands or frequent travel. It is great introduction to the Fender/Squier universe, with no compromise on style, sound, or feel.
Despite its size, it delivers the unmistakable feel and sonic palette of a Strat. The Indian laurel fretboard is smooth, the “C”-shaped maple neck is instantly comfortable, and the shorter scale (22.75") makes it incredibly playable. The trio of single-coil pickups in traditional SSS configuration, along with the 5-way selector switch, gives you access to all the signature Strat tones—from clean and glassy to crisp and edgy. And with a fixed bridge and stable tuners, it stays in tune remarkably well.
