The 6-piece setup includes a 14" digital snare, 10"/12"/14" toms, a 22" wood-shell kick, and digital hi-hat (14"), ride (18"), and crash cymbals (16"). The pads respond with outstanding nuance and articulation, offering true-to-life feel and consistency across playing zones.

At the core, the V71 module features high-resolution sampled kits developed in collaboration with DW, complete with onboard effects (EQ, compression, reverb), ambience control, and a user-friendly interface with a 4.3" colour screen. It provides deep editing tools and intuitive access to all sounds and settings.

Connectivity is studio-grade: stereo XLR outs, 8 direct outs, multi-channel USB (32 audio + MIDI), Bluetooth audio/MIDI, and Wi-Fi for direct Roland Cloud access and sound pack downloads. The included DW Soundworks software ensures seamless computer integration.
