Ortega D7CE-5 Natural Spruce

With the D7CE-5 Natural Spruce, Ortega offers a 5-string acoustic-electric bass at a particularly affordable price. Part of the Deep Series 7, it combines a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, a classic combination that provides clarity, warmth and good note definition. Its 32-inch medium scale offers a more relaxed string tension than a standard electric bass, while the cutaway makes the upper frets easier to reach. A straightforward, practical instrument for playing at home, accompanying acoustic instruments or working on bass lines without an amplifier.

The mahogany neck and walnut fingerboard, with 22 frets, provide a familiar playing feel for electric bassists. The Ortega MagusPRO/B preamp with built-in tuner allows the instrument to be plugged directly into an amplifier or PA system for rehearsals and small gigs. With its low fifth string, natural satin finish and very reasonable price, this Ortega is an interesting option for players looking to explore the 5-string acoustic bass without spending a fortune.
