Especially known for attracting shredders and metalheads thanks to its ultra-thin necks, floating vibratos and 7, 8 and 9 (!) strings guitars, Ibanez has established itself as THE Japanese export brand. Founded in 1957 in Nagoya, Japan, Ibanez began by producing copies of the american brands such as Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker, before creating its own. But it was in the 80's that the brand set itself as a staple of the rock and metal landscape, by signing virtuosos such as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, and established itself as a reference when it comes to superstrats.
The Ibanez AZ24S2-MLB is a modern super-Strat, easy to pick up and more versatile than it first appears. The alder body, Metallic Light Blue finish and roasted maple neck make for a stable, comfortable guitar, well suited to contemporary playing. With its 12" radius, 24 stainless steel jumbo frets and 25.5" scale length, it stays precise for rhythm work, bends and fast leads.
The two Modern Custom humbuckers cover thick clean tones, rock, punchy pop and moderate saturation. The dyna-MIX10 system adds ten pickup combinations, including brighter sounds that move closer to single-coil territory, while still retaining a higher output level. The T106 two-point tremolo and locking tuners complete a practical setup, designed for a versatile guitar without complicated adjustments.
