GMS Drums Co. was started, with very little fanfare, in New York in 1987 as a small workshop aiming at producing high-end drums. And they've made it with time, abnegation and the vision it takes to face big American names such as Gretsch or Ludwig, or more recently Drum Workshop. The GMS SE Ash Purple Burst is part of a new series of drums featuring the unique sound of North American hard white ash. GMS worked closely with American drum shell manufacturer Keller to develop these 8-ply 100% ash shells. Enhanced with Keller’s proprietary VSS™ technology, they are available exclusively on GMS Grand Master Series and Special Edition (SE) Series drums. North American hard white ash is distinguished from maple, birch, oak, and mahogany by its exceptional punch and focus. Keller’s VSS technology extends this wood’s low-frequency sustain to produce richness and balance that’s unequalled even by other ash-shell drums.

The model we propose comes from the Special Edition Series that is positioned towards the high-end brand range. The whole drums are made with philosophy of stress relieving properties in a split lug design which allows for greater resonance and and a control of sound which remain super dynamic when pushed hard. The whole frequency range is magnified. The drum set can be played in all styles but expresses better in the rock(hard rock territories. The Ash Purple Burst finish is fantastic and a killer go for look.

This drumset has a 2 year warranty including spare parts. Our workshop also offers a custom drum service including tuning and drum optimization which allows your drum to sound like you want to.
