The Vemuram Spiritone is a premium overdrive pedal developed with Japanese guitarist Char. It delivers an expressive mid-gain tone inspired by iconic pedals like the Klon Centaur, but with greater flexibility and modern refinement. From vintage warmth to clear, aggressive drive, it adapts to many playing styles and rig setups.
The pedal features two distinct voicings in a single enclosure. The main channel provides smooth, organic overdrive with a vintage feel. The secondary Bright channel delivers punchier attack and added clarity, well-suited for lead work. Both channels have independent volume controls (LEVEL / LEVEL B-ch) and are footswitchable.
Controls include Treble, Bass, Gain and a unique SAT knob that emulates tube saturation characteristics. A small toggle switch activates or disables the input buffer depending on signal chain needs. True bypass ensures clean signal integrity when the pedal is disengaged.
Built in Japan with a polished brass enclosure and high-grade N.O.S. components, the Spiritone combines boutique tone and rugged craftsmanship. Its distinctive bakelite knobs and substantial weight (815 g) reinforce the quality of the build. Designed for tone-sensitive players, it's equally at home on demanding stages and precision-critical studio setups.
