Tim Henson is arguably one of the artists currently redefining virtuosity. By combining the most outrageous techniques to unprecedented degrees with a sound exploration that prioritizes clarity and articulation between notes, he undoubtedly invites us to attempt to emulate him – even if poorly. And for this purpose, he has collaborated with Ibanez to create a signature guitar equipped with all the features necessary for such feats.
Featuring a growling, mid-forward basswood body that favors the midrange, the TOD10 delivers a powerful and articulate tone. Its two multi-voice Fishman Fluence Tim Henson Signature humbuckers offer a wide range of tones, from pristine cleans to searing leads, ensuring versatility in any musical scenario. The roasted maple neck provides stability and durability, while the AZ oval "C"-shaped profile offers comfort and playability across the entire fretboard. The fingerboard is made of ebony and adorned with a stunning "Tree of Death" inlay (beautiful despite its lack of cheerfulness). With a 12" radius and 24 stainless steel frets, this guitar allows for fast playing and effortless string bending. The combination of Gotoh locking tuners and Graph Tech nut allows for aggressive use of the Gotoh T1502 tremolo while maintaining total tuning stability.
