The flagship of Fender's production, instruments from the Custom Shop range are guitars and basses that meet the highest quality standards, be it in the wood selection, the pickups winding, the finishes or the overall build quality. This results in highly reliable instruments with inimitable sound, providing great playability.
When John Woolloff put the guitar down—after the video we shot with him—he said, "this is a really good guitar." And all those who reviewed it agree. Everybody who tested this guitar felt something when they played it. The terms varied: familiarity, precision, finesse, roundness, THE TONE, comfort. And the tone.
Yet it doesn't look like much: it's a Stratocaster—everything that was standard in 1964. Ah, but that's why! It's an L-series repro, and in this particular guitar, they've managed to put that magic mojo! For real, though, nobody knows, and before peddling myths, let's state facts: this guitar is quite standard, yet extremely special.
Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, the classic 3-Tone Sunburst (faded with class), the relicing is light enough to forgive everything that will happen, without imposing itself as part of the decor; the pickups are Handwound 64, the vintage-synchronized vibrato is reliable. It's a recipe for happiness. It sounds like the Stratocaster inside the head of everyone who has tested it, and we strongly encourage you to try it yourself.
It comes in its Custom Shop case with the usual accessories and its certificate of authenticity and is guaranteed for 2 years in our workshop.
