Bourgeois guitars made in Lewiston, Maine are pure American acoustic guitars, built with unparalleled attention to detail. From the selection of woods to the hardware, each guitar is unique, and two guitars of the same model receive highly personalized attention that gives them a unique quality. The small team of craftsmen provides a particular life to these instruments, making compatible assortments to determine the tone of each guitar according to its size and shape. They are hand-carved, and each one benefits from the involvement of Dana Bourgeois himself at many stages of production, who carries out quality control of each piece.

Designed on one of the most versatile formats, the Bourgeois D Vintage AAT (Adirondack Aged Tone top) is simply outstanding for playing solo or in a group. Its powerful voice and the full sound it delivers make it an instrument whose bold tonal signature will be appreciated in all genres.

The Adirondack spruce on the top is fundamentally bright and lets the notes develop with enormous brilliance. But they will also carry a lot of warmth through the deep bass response that has made the D-format popular. The timbre is deep, and the balance of frequencies is always perfect, even when the strings are struck powerfully.

The roasted Adirondack bracing, specific to Bourgeois, allows a greater vibration of the top. At the same time, the neck profile offers an unparalleled playing comfort. Amateurs of tapping and percussive playing, in particular, will find here a perfect instrument to reveal the subtleties of their playing.
