Founded in 1976 by David Schecter, Schecter Guitars Research is an American guitar maker that started by producing guitar parts. Crafted mainly in the United States and in Korea, Schecter guitars have been seen in the hands of musicians such as Pete Townshend, Prince, Mark Knopfler and Jeff Loomis. The quality of the Korean production is akin to that of many American or Japanese ones. Quite metal-oriented, Schecter guitars have earned a completely legitimate fame thanks to great build-quality, original designs and very typical tones.
What we have here is a guitar equipped with everything you need to burst melodies into the sky through the complete guitarist's technical arsenal: sweeping, tapping, vibrato, bends... The ultra-fast neck and sculpted heel make it easy to use extreme melodic paths. The flamed top is beautiful, and the mahogany body generates a long sustain. The Floyd Rose tremolo allows for all acrobatics while perfectly maintaining tuning stability. The combination of HSS EMG Retro Active pickups, which deliver both a high output level and vintage clarity, makes it possible to play in all registers, even if the thing it does best is getting it on hard.
