Especially known for attracting shredders and metalheads thanks to its ultra-thin necks, floating vibratos and 7, 8 and 9 (!) strings guitars, Ibanez has established itself as THE Japanese export brand. Founded in 1957 in Nagoya, Japan, Ibanez began by producing copies of the american brands such as Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker, before creating its own. But it was in the 80's that the brand set itself as a staple of the rock and metal landscape, by signing virtuosos such as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, and established itself as a reference when it comes to superstrats.
The JEM electric guitar Steve Vai Signature is one of Ibanez's best sellers since its start in the late 1980s. It has earned an iconic status among musicians who value musical performances and exceptional aesthetic style. The limited edition JEM77WDP "Woody" gives a bold new direction to the JEM. It is built from massive, high-quality woods that give it a raw, dark look, as well as custom electronic components that deliver unparalleled tone.
The JEM77WDP "Woody" has a walnut top on a mahogany body that provides the guitar with a particularly warm and resonant tone. The clear maple pickguard contrasts with the finish, all for the most beautiful effect. The knobs too are made of wood, for an earthy and organic feel. The Wizard neck is made of five parts of maple, walnut and KTS™ titanium cold-rolled rods, which reinforce it along its entire length and offer improved tonal performance. The fretboard in Panga Panga includes the inlay "Tree of Life" and jumbo frets, which benefit from Ibanez Premium Fret Edge treatment.
With a trio of DiMarzio Dark Matter 2 pickups (the signature Steve Vai pickups), this guitar offers breathtaking sustain and a virtually unlimited range of tonal variations. The neck and bridge pickups are set with a laser cut pattern with interlocking gears inspired by steampunk culture. A DiMarzio Dark Matter 2 single-coil pickup with a satin nickel finish occupies the middle position, offering full and round tone in a variety of rock styles, and allowing access to all stratoïd variations by association in the intermediate positions. The Edge Zero II floating tremolo with nut lock is comfortable and unobtrusive, and perfectly maintains tuning. We all know how much Steve Vai needs that feature. With a hard case.
We propose it with a two year warranty from our workshop
