Designed by Bernd Moosmann, this student bassoon features an ergonomical keywork dedicated to smaller hands. All left hand thumb and wing joint keys are elongated and the left ring finger ke is covered for that purpose. To achieve that design, the maker has had to remove the double Bb key.
This bassoonl has the same acoustics as its 100 sibling, but with only 19 keys to perform with. Except for the longer wing joint, this 96 model features a resin coated bore to protect the wood from humidity and to maintain its initial acurate geometry for years. Moosmann bassoons are very fluid yet open, in regard with the resin coat and their original bore design.
Due to its impeccable construction and acoustics, this ergononical intsrument is much appreciated by music educators who strongly recommend it to their students. Properly serviced and maintained, it will command a high resale value on the second hand market. A long term investment!
